While the following descriptions cover the general types of cremation services, your choices are not required to fit exactly into any particular category. There are literally "choices within choices" available to provide a meaningful service with flexibility to meet the needs of each person or family we serve.
Cremation With Funeral Service
This service, just like a burial, can occur at one's place of worship or a funeral chapel. The difference being, the casketed remains are cremated after the funeral service instead of taken to a cemetery to be interred. This service may be preceded by a period of visitation at a church or funeral home the day of the funeral or the night before the service. The body may be placed into a cremation casket or a rental casket.
Cremation With Memorial Service
A memorial service, like a funeral, is a service of remembrance, only without the body present. It may be held at a place of worship, the funeral chapel or any other appropriate location.
Basic Cremation
An immediate or basic cremation is limited to the prompt cremation of the body following death, with no formal funeral or memorial services.
