Allen Wayne Lambert

Mr. Allen "Wayne" Lambert, 71, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his home in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Lambert was born December 28, 1946 in Concord. He was a son of the late Rev. R.L. Lambert and Juanita Lambert. In his earlier years, he worked with his father as a painter. He retired from Land Star, where he was a long haul truck driver. He was an avid musician with various gospel groups. He loved wrestling and NASCAR. He was the BEST!!!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Mills.

Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Karen Burgess Lambert; three daughters, Michelle Helms and husband Derek of Kannapolis, Mandi Hoyle and husband Frank of Kannapolis and Summer Lambert of the home; sister, Loretta Callicutt of the home; three grandchildren; and several nieces.
