Joan was my PE teacher in high school.
We didn’t know then that we would be sharing a mutual love for a little baby girl named Mikki Lee Hartzog who we both adored.
I remember a very special act of kindness Joan gave to our family, she treated all of us to a very special lunch at Ryan’s Steak House. A birthday dinner for Mikki.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship and fun with her cousins who thought Mikki was number one. She was, the first grandchild on both sides. We both had a hand in spoiling her.
We were Grandma Joan and Grandma Ann.

My Mawmaw Marnie sure loved her niece Joan. Joan was so good to her by visiting and bringing the tapes from the church. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I had her as a teacher too. I saw how much she cared about her students. She loved her family and will be missed. So sorry for your loss.
