Mrs. Evelyn Marlow Fulham, 85, a resident of Genesis Eldercare and formerly of Bostian Heights Street, Salisbury, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the nursing facility. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Stephen Hiatt will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Janice Smith, 2125 Mt. Hope Church Road, Salisbury. Born March 1, 1922 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late William Everette Marlow and Lexie Mae Marlow. She retired several years ago from the Sewing Room of Cannon Mills, Plant No. 1. Mrs. Fulham was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salisbury. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O. M. "Buck" Fulham; a son, Douglas Wayne Connell; one sister, Nadine Howerton; two stepchildren, James Mark Fulham and John Brent Fulham; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Brooke Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Connell Smith and husband, Tony Gray Smith of Salisbury, Joyce Connell Smith and husband, Harold Wayne Smith of Granite Quarry; a sister, Ruth M. Greene of Kannapolis; one brother, William Gray Marlow of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, the Rev. Thomas Lynn Smith, Theodore Gray Smith, Ashley Dawn Fulham Hargraves, Nicholas Fulham and Phillip Marlow Smith; and six great-grandchildren, Kierstan Brooke Smith, Makenzie Gray Smith, Kaylee Alexis Smith, Savannah Leigh Smith, Brooklyn Grace Smith and Haley Nicole Hargraves.
