Faye Thomas Helms

Mrs. Faye Thomas Helms, 63, of 2204 Baylor Avenue, Kannapolis, died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Northeast Medical Center, after 10 years of declining health. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The Rev. R. J. Hammond will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the home of her son, Eric Helms, 452 Crooked Creek Lane in China Grove. Born June 18, 1938, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Annie Mozelle Thomas. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Helms was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, John F. Helms; her son, Eric Helms and his wife, Kimberly, of China Grove; and three grandchildren, Lauren Helms, Caleb Helms, and Micah Helms.
