Larry Michael Brewer

Mr. Larry Michael Brewer, 66, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 4149 Odell School Road, Concord, NC 28027.

The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.

Mr. Brewer was born April 9, 1950 in Cabarrus County, NC. He was a son of the late Willie Harrison "Bill" Brewer and Jennie Pearl Queen Brewer. Mr. Brewer is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Vickie Braswell Brewer; daughter, Jennifer Brewer Childers and husband Jason of Kannapolis; son, Bradley Michael Brewer of Concord; brother, David Earl Brewer and wife Linda of Taylors, SC; sisters, Nancy Brewer Sloop and husband Kale of Salisbury and Kay Brewer Yates and husband Dennis of Concord; four nieces; and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Eugene Brewer and William Kenneth “Butch” Brewer.

Mr. Brewer was a 1968 Graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis. He earned his associate degree in mechanical engineering from Rowan Technical Community College. He worked 35 years for Duke Energy at McGuire Nuclear Station as a maintenance planner. Mr. Brewer was an active member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Concord and of the Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626 in Kannapolis.
