Rosemarie Volz Patton

Mrs. Rosemarie Volz Patton, 89, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2017, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Father Jerome Chavarria will officiate. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patton was born January 25, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Albert W. Volz and Marie Dehn Volz. She graduated high school from Pittsburgh Academy. She worked in customer service for Greyhound Bus, Eastern Airlines and US Airways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Patton.

Mrs. Patton is survived by four children, Alice Patton Lopez of Avon, IN, John Henry Patton, Jr. of North Tonawanda, NY, Jefferey Michael Patton of Concord and Judith Patton Saxon of Concord; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Lopez, Jarrod Lopez, Robert Patton, Sarah Patton, Andrew Knoell, David Patton, Vincent Simone, Richard Patton, Chantal Saxon, Caitlin Saxon and Jeffery “Wes” Saxon, II; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
