Thermon L. Richardson

Mr. Thermon L. Richardson, 83, formerly of S. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis, NC, died Sunday, January 19, 2003, at EdenGardens of Concord after a number of years of declining health and one month of serious illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at Memorial Baptist Church. The body will lie in-state from 1:30 to 2:00 PM at the church. Rev. Jim Harris and Rev. Don Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Richardson was born February 28, 1919 in Union County, NC. He was a son of the late Luther Thomas Richardson and Lula Deese Richardson. He was retired and was formerly the owner and operator of R&F Service Station for over 50 years. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Richardson, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Richardson, and a sister, Lois Richardson. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Thelma Fink Richardson; two daughters, Jan Biggerstaff and her husband, Charles, of Wilmington, Joan Godwin of China Grove; sister, Doris Henderson of Kannapolis; three brothers, Glenn Richardson, Johnnie Richardson, and Aundra Richardson, all of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Kelly G. Anderson, Mande Biggerstaff, and Chad Biggerstaff.
