Billy Mack Measmer

Mr. Billy Mack Measmer, 80, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his home in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Memorial United Methodist Church. Rev. Craig Allen will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Measmer was born October 5, 1940 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late G.F. Measmer and Sudie Key Measmer. He was a faithful member of Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee on the finance committee and deacon. He was also a member of the Odell Lions Club. Bill was retired from Hoechst Celanese, where he worked for over 30 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Sherrill and Frances Kluttz; and one brother, David Measmer.

Mr. Measmer is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene Measmer; son, Jeff Measmer and wife Donna of Concord; son, Robbie Measmer and wife Jane of China Grove; sister, Jo Hartsoe of Kannapolis; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
