Bobby Joe Yost

Mr. Bobby Joe Yost, 93, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. Rafe Allison will officiate. Interment will follow at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 pm Tuesday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mr. Yost was born November 5, 1929 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Guy Alexander Yost and Edna Mae Hall Yost. He was a lifetime member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, where he was very active in all phases. He was the retired owner and operator of Yost Builders.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis "Phil" Ann Moss Yost; and three brothers, James, Don, and Johnny Yost.

Mr. Yost is survived by daughter, Sue Y. Myers of Concord; son, Tommy Yost of Concord; two grandchildren, Allison Myers (Jeff Ferendo) of Seattle, WA, and Samuel Reid Myers of Concord; great grandchild, Willow Nicole Myers of Concord; six nieces; and two nephews.
