Dianne Petty Compton

Mrs. Dianne Petty Compton, 70, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Monday, November 20, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James Pauley will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 am Tuesday at the Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 to 6:45 pm Monday prior to the service.

Mrs. Compton was born February 1, 1947 in Concord. She was a daughter of Clara Carter Petty of Landis and the late Boyce D. Petty, Sr. She previously worked for Cannon Mills and later as a LPN in Pediatrics at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Compton is survived by her husband, Homer David Compton, Sr.; daughter, Amy Nicodemus and husband Todd of Oceanside, CA; son, Homer David Compton, Jr. and fiancée Julie Gibson of Kannapolis; two brothers, Boyce "Buster" Petty, Jr. and wife Paula and Steven Petty all of Kannapolis; two sisters, Tana Petty Moody and Robin Petty Brown and husband Mike, all of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Hunter Nicodemus, Megan Nicodemus and Keira Compton.
