James William Lambert

Mr. James William Lambert, 75, of 108 Kirk Street, China Grove, died Friday, January 17, 2003, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2003, at Near the Cross Church, 3000 Centergrove Road, Kannapolis. The Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born September 23, 1927, in Iredell County, he was a son of the late E. C. Lambert and the late Minnie L. Lambert. He retired in 1985 as a loom fixer in the number one weave room of Cannon Mills, plant one in Kannapolis. He was a US Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Valley Williams of Landis; and two brothers, Ray Lambert of Charlotte and Delbert Lambert of Eden. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Seymore Lambert; four daughters, Linda Fink and her husband, Boyce, of Concord, Teresa Ray of Concord, Shirley Kiker and her husband, Wes, of Kannapolis, and Vivian Gallman and her husband, Bobby, of China Grove; two sons, Mike Lambert and his wife, Janet, of Albemarle, and Wayne Leon Lambert of Franklin; three sisters, Lucy Atwell of Mooresville, Mamie Ervin and Ollie Beaver of Kannapolis; a brother, B. P. "Blume" Lambert of Kannapolis; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
