Judith Hess Schrum

Mrs. Judith Faye Hess Schrum saw the face of Jesus and was reunited with her true love, Marion, on Friday, November 24, 2017. She was surrounded by her loved ones holding her hands, helping guide her on her journey home.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Newton will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Schrum was born February 20, 1933 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Melvin Hess and Lucille Wilhelm Hess. She retired from K-Mart where she worked in Customer Service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marion Boyce Schrum; and a brother, Bobby Hess.

Mrs. Schrum is survived by her daughter, Debra Chambers of China Grove; two brothers, Carl "Bud" Hess and wife Pat of China Grove and Melvin "Teab" Hess and wife Pearl of Ohio; one grandson, Christopher Wayne Talley and wife Jennifer; and one great granddaughter, Leah Katherine Talley.

One of Judy's favorite poems was Footprints...One day our family will be reunited, walking side by side holding hands with our footprints in the sand.
