Loutrell Jordan Jolly

Mrs. Thelma Loutrell Jordan Jolly, 76, of 2230 Lentz Road, China Grove, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2005, at China Grove Church of God. The Revs. Steve Sprinkle, Bobby Brackett and Roger Lunsford will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The body will remain at Lady's Funeral Home in Kannapolis until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born December 28, 1928, in Franklin County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Brooks Jordan and Eva Janie Hanley Jordan. She retired from the Sewing Room of Cannon Mills, Plant One, after more than 45 years of employment. She was a member of China Grove Church of God where she was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years, a member of the Ladies of Grace Ladies Auxiliary, and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Group. She had also been an active member of the South Rowan YMCA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Pleas Jolly, who died in 1990; and two brothers, Cartee Jordan and Dewey Lee Jordan. Survivors include a son, Joseph W. Jolly and his wife, Susann, of Sherrills Ford; two sisters, Bertha Mae Morgan of China Grove and Evelyn Yon, with whom she made her home; a brother, Eugene Jordan of China Grove; and two grandchildren, Felicia Jolly and Michael Jolly.
