Pauline Brown Wallace

Mrs. Pauline Brown Wallace, 82, of 1210 S. Highland Avenue, Landis, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Doug Kearney will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born August 22, 1923, in Rowan County, Mrs. Wallace was the daughter of the late John Wesley Brown and Ada Weaver Brown. She was a lifelong resident of this area and retired several years ago from the weave room of Cannon Mills, Plant Four in Kannapolis. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church and formerly attended St. David's Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clegg Wallace, who died December 26, 1980; and a son, Grady Wallace. Survivors include a son, Ricky Wallace and wife, Ellie, of Landis; three sisters, Betty Brown of Arizona, Carolyn Bentley of Georgia and Shirley McCoy of Florida; two brothers, Bobby Brown of Salisbury and John Wesley Brown of California; two grandchildren, Michele Shimberg and Melanie Tysinger, both of Salisbury; and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Samantha Shimberg. Memorials may be sent to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
