Ruby Nell Sisk

Mrs. Ruby Nell Edwards Sisk, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at her residence.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Rash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sisk was born October 23, 1933 in Indian Trail, NC. She was a daughter of the late Henry Charlie Edwards and Brownie Lee Martin Edwards. She was a homemaker. Her love of Christ was expressed through her work with the Gideons Auxiliary and her Jail Ministry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lester Phillip Sisk, Sr.; brother, Sonny Edwards; sister, Goldie Edwards; and infant twins, Paul and Pauline.

Mrs. Sisk is survived by daughter, Celeste Pierce and husband Doug of Kannapolis; two sons, Lester Phillip Sisk, Jr., of Kannapolis, and William Sisk and wife Mary of Concord; four sisters, Clara Goodman and husband Bob, Ann Huneycutt, Margaret Lauzon, all of Kannapolis, and Barbara Grant of Mint Hill; four granddaughters, Michelle Holbrook and husband Lonnie, Kimberly Bynum and husband Jason, Angela Pierce, and Bri Pierce; grandson, Doug Pierce, Jr.; two great-granddaughters, Kaylee Bynum and Emalie Holbrook; and great-grandson, Sawyer Holbrook.
