Mr. Thomas Everette Smith, II, 43, of 2100 South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, died Saturday, August 24, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center following a three year battle with cancer. Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2002, at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Dale Turner will officiate. The family will be at the residence of Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith was born September 14, 1958 in Pitt County, NC. He was a son fo Margaret J. Smith of the home and the late Lonnie E. Smith. Mr. Smith, in addition to his mother, is survived by two daughters, Brandy Michele Russell of Spencer, Ashley Rose Smith of New Bern, NC; one son, Thomas E. Smith, III, of New Bern; one sister, Judy S. Sutton of Salisbury; one brother, Lonnie E. Smith, Jr., of Ocala, FL; and one grandchild, Haley Marie Russell.
