Adelle Price Belk

Adelle Price Belk, 79, of 1203 Debbie Street, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2006, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Yow will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born July 22, 1926, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Zimmer Price and Vetra Reece Price. She retired several years ago from the Kannapolis City Schools where she was a teacher. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Minnie Scarboro Circle. She was also a member of the North Carolina Retired School Personnel Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leonard Belk, who died July 11, 1999, and a brother, James Price. Survivors include two daughters, Jan Boone and husband, Edwin of Kannapolis and Julie Kiser and husband, Steve, of Charlotte; a sister, Nell Parker of Statesville; one brother, Buford Price of Winter Haven, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Jackson Boone, Emily Boone and Lauren Kiser.
