Alan Lamar Walker

Alan Lamar Walker, 55, of 770 Derita Road, Concord, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009. A private memorial graveside service will be conducted Friday, May 8, 2009 at Tanners Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia. Born June 25, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of Edna Williamson Starnes and the late Ralph LaVern Walker. He graduated in 1972 from North Clayton High School in College Park, Georgia. He was a member of Tanners Baptist Church. Alan was an entrepreneur and day trader. Survivors include his mother, Edna Williamson Starnes and stepfather, Edwin E. Starnes, of Concord; sister, Eleanor Gilbert and husband, Ken, of Morrow, Georgia; two brothers, James Timothy Walker and wife, Carol, of Hoover, Alabama, David Wayne Walker and wife, Sherry, of Gainesville, Georgia; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Tanners Baptist Church, 4482 Tanners Church Road, Ellenwood, Georgia 30294.
