Alfred Morrison Lewis Sr.

Mr. Alfred Morrison Lewis, Sr., 91, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Lane Street Baptist Church. Dr. Jonathan Casteel and Rev. Alfred M. Lewis, Jr. will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at Lane Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Lewis was born July 1, 1923 in Gastonia. He was a son of the late Robert D. Lewis and Maude Faucette Lewis. He was a World War II, U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Lewis was the owner/operator of Architectural Glass and Store Front Construction for 56 years. He was a member of Lane Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth Honeycutt Lewis; six children, Tina Shrack of Richmond, VA, Amy Carver of Kannapolis, Rev. Alfred M. Lewis, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Stallings, Donald James Lewis of Charlotte, David Norkett and wife, Debbie, of Charlotte and Tim Norkett and wife, Chris, of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mildred and Elizabeth; fifteen grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
