Ms. Alfreda Carole Hardin Scott, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, February 9, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark White will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Ms. Scott was born October 9, 1944 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Alfred P. Hardin and Carole Fritts Broadway. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God, where she grew up. Mrs. Scott worked as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Penney Sparks; brother, Jerry Broadway; and granddaughter, Lindsay Scott.

Ms. Scott is survived by daughter, Deanna White and husband Brian of China Grove; two sons, Richard "Ricky" Scott of Richfield and Eric Scott of Kanapolis; three sisters, Brenda Hardin of Concord, Renae Peeler of Salisbury and Chrystal Roy of Charlotte; four brothers, David Hardin and wife Sandra of Kannapolis, Darrel Hardin, Mike Hardin and wife Deliah, and Mark Hardin and wife Carmen, all of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
