Mrs. Alice Collins Marlow, 78, of 337 Vance Street, Kannapolis, died Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, SC. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 PM Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Burial will follow at the VA National Cemetery on Government Road in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence. Mrs. Marlow was born May 17, 1924 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Daniel Coble and Nita Martin Coble. She retired several years ago from the sewing room of Cannon Mills, Plant One in Kannapolis. She was a member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Wilbert Marvin Collins and Charles Marlow. Survivors include two daughters, Audrey Livengood of Ruffin, SC, Mary Ann Goad of Crest Hill, IL; a son, Paul Daniel Collins of Kannapolis; three sisters, Peggy Frady of Gastonia, Barbara Burr of Florence, SC, Betty Thomas of Rockingham; two brothers, D. A. Coble and Jerry Coble, both of Rockingham; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
