Alice Freeman Furr

Mrs. Alice Freeman Furr, 65, of 32024 Old Parker Road, Albemarle, NC, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center after a year of declining health. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2002, in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Darrell Furr will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Furr was born September 1, 1936 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Theodore D. Freeman and Lula Owens Freeman. She was retired from Wiscassett Mills after 28 years of service. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Furr, and a son, Frankie King. Mrs. Furr is survived by a daughter, Wanda King of Albemarle; brother, Ray Freeman of Albemarle; sister, Betty Hubbard of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Angel King; and she will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
