Alice Raye Grisdale

Mrs. Alice Raye Goodnight Grisdale, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Best of Care Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 7, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Darryl Evans and Rev. Bill Jolley will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Friday prior to the service in the church parlor.

Mrs. Grisdale was born on October 5, 1937 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late J.C. Goodnight and Martha Benson Goodnight. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Grisdale volunteered for Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County and for Cooperative Christian Ministries.

Mrs. Grisdale is survived by her daughter, Christy G. Heintz and husband, Jeff of Concord; son, Johnny Grisdale and wife Dona of Matthews; sister, Barbara Goodnight Wise of Kannapolis; brother, Steve Goodnight and wife, Judy of Kannapolis; and step-father, C.L. Grisdale of Concord.
