Alice A. Lowder

Mrs. Alice A. Lowder, 78, of 703 Pearl Avenue, Kannapolis died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joseph E. Rahme will officiate. Burial will follow at Kannapolis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family be at the home of a granddaughter, Cindy Pittmon, 2618 Shadylane, Concord, NC. Mrs. Lowder was born on July 26, 1923 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Allen Lowder and Dora Williams Lowder. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from the spinning room of Cannon Mills. Mrs. Lowder is survived by a son, Larry Deaton, Sr. of Florida; two sisters, Hazel Ewing of Kannapolis and Naomi Barnette of Hiddenite, NC; Eight grandchildren, Cindy Pittmon of Concord, Larry Deaton, Jr. of Calhoun, GA, Michael Deaton, Richard Deaton and Timmy Deaton, of Concord, Rodney Gulledge, of Kannapolis, Steven Deaton of West Virginia, and Sandy Deaton of Concord; four great grandchildren and a Special Friend, Mildred Davis.
