Mrs. Aline Jordan Haithcock, 83, of 416 Peach Street, died Monday, October 27, 2008, at Big Elm Nursing Center in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at First Wesleyan Church. Dr. Forbis Kivett and Rev. Wayne Preusz will officiate. The body will lie in-state at the church for 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mrs. Haithcock was born December 23, 1924 in Chesterfield County, SC. She was a daughter of the late Lonnie Franklin Jordan and Grabiel Purvis Jordan. She retired in July 1989 from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills in the Sheet Department and Fabric Print Department of Plant 1 as a stenographer. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Nezzie Rollings, Ruby Horton, Trudie Hancock and Clarice "Kitty" Haithcock; seven brothers, Maurice "Bo" Jordan, Blease Jordan, Leonard Jordan, J.B. Jordan, Lloyd Jordan, Newsom Jordan, and Wilson Jordan. Mrs. Haithcock is survived by her husband, James Harold Haithcock, whom she married October 26, 1946; daughter, Sandra Albertson and husband, David of Thomasville; son, Randy Haithcock and wife, Joy of Archdale; sister, Ester J. Baker of Ruby, SC; eight grandchildren, Angela Davenport and husband, Jason, Daniel Albertson, Hope Hucks and husband, George, Faith Tolan and husband, Aaron, Paul Haithcock and wife, Heather, Mark Haithcock, Christina Haithcock, and Leah Haithcock; three great grandchildren, Emily Hucks, Isaiah Tolan, and Nathaniel Davenport. Memorials may be sent to First Wesleyan Church, 301 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
