Allie Van Rowland (Wilson)

Allie Van Wilson Rowland, 83, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015, at Caremoor Retirement Center.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Howard Tyas will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 pm Wednesday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rowland was born on October 26, 1931 in Union County. She was a daughter of the late Tom Wilson and Ruby Lee Craig Wilson. She worked as a hemmer at Cannon Mills. Mrs. Rowland was a member of Second Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Craig Wilson and Tom “Buddy” Ellis Wilson.

Mrs. Rowland is survived by her daughter, Paula R. Petty and husband, Buster, of Kannapolis; two sons, Waymon Stephen Rowland and wife, Lois, of Kannapolis and Timothy B. Rowland and wife, Donna, of China Grove; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
