Alvin Eugene Linker

Mr. Alvin Eugene Linker, 83, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at his home in Myrtle Beach.

A military rites committal service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, April 30, 2018, at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm Monday in the mausoleum.

Mr. Linker was born December 25, 1934 in Concord. He was a son of the late Lewis Alvin Linker and Marjie Elizabeth Jarvis Linker. He retired after 21 years from the U.S. Army having served in both Korea and Vietnam. He would later retire as a truck driver from Overnite Transportation after 26 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia Hix Linker; and two brothers.

Mr. Linker is survived by five sisters, Elizabeth Linker of Rockwell, Carol Linker of Myrtle Beach, Joyce Linker of Mooresville, Susie Pless of Kannapolis and Janice Evans of Kannapolis; and five brothers, Jerry Linker of Rex, GA, Lewis Linker of Dallas, NC, Bobby Linker of Hampton, VA, Doug Linker of Concord and Mark Linker of Rock Hill, SC.
