Ambrie R. Craig

Mr. Ambrie Rudolph "Biddie" Craig, 75, of 411 Ebenezer Road, Kannapolis, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sam Crisp will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Myra Bentley, 4570 Highway 152 East, Rockwell. Born September 23, 1928, in Commerce, Georgia, he was a son of the late Charlie Pitchford Craig and Mira Magnaline Barnett Craig. He was the retired owner and operator of Craig's Body Shop. He had lived in this area for 48 years and formerly attended Community Baptist Church in Salisbury. Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Wyrick and her husband, Doug, of Kannapolis and Myra Bentley and her husband, Harry, of Rockwell; two sons, Steve Craig of Rockwell and Hank Craig of the home; four sisters, Virginia Wright of China Grove, Bernice Link of Kannapolis, Clara Jane Lewflew and Mary Donaldson, both of Landis; one brother, Gene Craig of Salisbury; 12 grandchildren, Harold Bentley, Michael Loftis, Lee Wyrick, Matt Wyrick, Jennifer Baucom, Chris Wyrick, Lisa Bentley, Kelly Cole, Hank Craig, Jr., Reid Craig, Josh Craig and Marcella Goble; and eight great-grandchildren, Hanna Cole, Abaigail Cole, Nathan Baucom, Katherine Meritt, Elizabeth Wyrick, Brittney Ewing, Addison Goble and Autumn Wyrick.
