Mrs. Angelia Denise White Cook, 55, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Concord, North Carolina. In the early hours of the morning, surrounded by love, Angelia was able to have her family by her side to say their goodbyes before she peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, beneath the most beautiful sunrise.
Angelia was born July 27, 1971, in Cabarrus County. Angelia was married to her beloved late husband Alan Cook for over 30 years, she cherished every second of those years. She was a daughter of Lewis White and the late Kenda Burr White. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a Postal Carrier, where she was known for her warm heart and the kindness she showed to those around her.
Angelia lived a life full of love, laughter, music, faith, and family. She made countless memories through the years, including going on a Quest trip with her church family, spending precious time watching over and loving her grandchildren, and attending more concerts than anyone could count. She had a special love for music and could sing Bon Jovi like nobody’s business. Above all, Angelia loved her Lord and Savior and carried her faith with her throughout her life.
Those who knew Angelia knew there was something special about her. She was kind, loving, genuine, and full of life. She had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, and she was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. Her laughter, her voice, her love, and her unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
In addition to her father, Angelia is survived by her son, Joseph Cook and wife Tiffany of China Grove, and their family; daughter, Hannah Robbins and husband Mitchell of Davidson; five brothers, Tim White and wife Kristy of Salisbury, Mark White and wife Lisa of China Grove, Brian White and wife Deanna of China Grove, Ritchie White and wife Lori of Salisbury, and Dwayne Drye and wife Angie of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Chloe Cook, Tensley Cook, JJ Cook, Kenda Robbins, and Blane Robbins; and the many family members and friends whose lives she touched so deeply.
Angelia’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She leaves behind countless memories, stories, songs, laughter, and moments that will be treasured forever. She also leaves behind the comfort and companionship of a beloved four-legged friend who brought her so much happiness and love throughout the years, Willow.
Though her time here was not nearly long enough, Angelia lived a life that mattered. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, sang freely, worshipped faithfully, and gave so much of herself to the people she loved. Her memory will forever be carried by those who loved her, and every beautiful sunrise will be a reminder that she is resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Tuesday at Lady’s Funeral Home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
