Anna Dixon

Mrs. Anna Wilson Dixon, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chuck Overcash will officiate. Interment will be at West Concord Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dixon was born August 29, 1929 in Darlington County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Wilson and Emma Jane Byrd Wilson. Mrs. Dixon retired from Cannon Mills Plant #4 weave room. She was a member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Dixon enjoyed gardening, singing and cooking for her family.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lee Dixon on June 5, 2005 and a number of brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by seven children, James Dixon and wife, Frances and Joyce Lambert and husband, Greg both of Concord, Charles Dixon, Diana Dixon and Nelson Pulliman and Terry Dixon and Billie Jo all of Kannapolis, Don Dixon and Kelly Coffee of Lenoir and Johnny Dixon of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Edith Wilson and Tina Lloyd of Dovesville, SC; brother, R. C. Wilson of TN; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
