Anna Katherine Gregory Vance

Mrs. Anna Katherine Gregory Vance, 30, of 707 Carson Court, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, at her home. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church of Weaverville, NC. Pastor Skip Gillikin will officiate. Interment will follow at West Memorial Park in Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Anna was born February 24, 1981 in Greenville, SC. She was a daughter of Stephen "Steve" Warren Gregory and Nanette Swanson Gregory of Weaverville. She was a graduate of Catawba College. She was a loving wife and was a substitute teacher at Footprints Christian Academy in Kannapolis. Anna, in addition to her parents, is survived by her husband, Shawn Lee Vance; sister, Stephanie Megan Gregory of Naples, FL; brother, Philip Andrew Swanson Gregory of Tallahassee, FL; uncle, Grant H. Swanson, Jr. and family of Newnan, GA; and brother-in-law, Chad Snoden Vance of Elkins, WV; and her loving golden retriever, Buddy.
