Mrs. Annie "Ann" Etta Daves Faggart, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Phaniels Baptist Church. Paul Faggart and Pastor Jeff Faggart will officiate. Interment will follow at Phaniels Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockwell.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm Thursday at Phaniels Baptist Church.
Mrs. Faggart was born February 6, 1936 in Cleveland County. She was a daughter of the late Coy Clingman Daves and Essie Elizabeth Wiggins Daves. She retired as a telephone operator at the former Concord Telephone Company. Ann enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She was especially fond of her children and grandchildren. She was the world's greatest cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Calvin Eugene Faggart; four sisters, Jewel Canipe, Virginia D. Gantt, Marie D. Norman, and Bell D. Brown; and brothers, Charles "Bud" Daves, Paul Daves, Robert "Bob" L. Daves, Floyd F. Daves, and Zane Daves.
Mrs. Faggart is survived by two sons, Gene Faggart and wife Teresa of Rockwell and Jeffrey Faggart and wife Danielle of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren, Matthew Faggart and wife Esprit, Iris Ann Neubacher and husband Daniel, Elisabeth Funderburk and husband Nathan, Rebekah Evans, J.D. Faggart, Paul Faggart and wife Ashlea, and Samuel Faggart and wife Sarah; and seven great grandchildren.
