Annie Litaker Propst

August 15, 1909 — June 24, 2005

Mrs. Annie Litaker "Ann" Propst, 95, a resident of Autumn Care in Salisbury and formerly of Melinda Avenue in Kannapolis, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Autumn Care, following 10 years of declining health. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, at Center Grove Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Martin and the Rev. Maurice Staley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Lady's Funeral Home until taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Born August 15, 1909, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Luther Litaker and Sarah Elizabeth Linker Litaker. She was employed in the Sheet Department of Cannon Mills for over 40 years. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Center Grove Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club and volunteered with the Cooperative Christian Ministries. She is survived by a daughter, Harriet P. Clodfelter and her husband, Vernon, of Salisbury; and two grandsons, Tony Clodfelter of Kannapolis and Chad Clodfelter and his wife, Alicia. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews as well as members of the Mills, Whitley and Litaker families. Memorials may be sent to Center Grove Lutheran Church, 1601 S. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Autumn Care of Salisbury for all of the love and care that they have shown to Mrs. Propst.
