Mrs. Annie Wilhelm Stewart, 95, formerly of Airport Road, Kannapolis, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Genesis Eldercare in Salisbury. She had been in declining health for a number of years and was seriously ill for four weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joel Fowler will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Landis. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of her son, Clarence Stewart, Jr., 410 Airport Road, Kannapolis. Born September 5, 1909, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. Wilhelm and Ida Blackwelder Wilhelm. She was retired from Bon Marce Dress Shop. Her husband, Clarence Stewart, Sr., preceded her in death on January 4, 1961. Survivors include a son, Clarence Stewart, Jr. of Kannapolis; a granddaughter, Carmen Strickland; two great-grandchildren, Kristen Mann and Brandon Strickland.
