Antonio S. Madeiros

Mr. Antonio S. Madeiros, 80, of 407 Sills Drive, Salisbury, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at First Baptist Church in Salisbury. Dr. Kenneth Lance and Rev. Tom Roberts will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rowan Veterans Council at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 AM Tuesday in the First Baptist Church Parlor. Born October 31, 1921, in Fall River, Mass., he was a son of the late Manuel Madeiros and the late Maria S. Madeiros. Mr. Madeiros retired several years ago, after 20 years of service, from the US Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Ruby J. Madeiros; a sister, Hilda Sophia Canupp of Salisbury; and a brother, Alfred S. Madeiros of Salisbury. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 223 N. Fulton Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
