Arlen Dale Mccombs

Mr. Arlen Dale McCombs, 86 of China Grove passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at his residence.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Futterer will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. McCombs was born February 7, 1935 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Robert Earl McCombs and Katherine Smith McCombs. Arlen retired from Cannon Mills where he was a loom fixer. He was avid fisherman, loved looking at birds and enjoyed water gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray McCombs; two sisters, Betty Mauldin and Jackie Reynolds; and son-in-law, Ronald Marlin.

Mr. McCombs is survived by three daughters, Frances Moffitt and husband Robert of Kannapolis, Diane Marlin of China Grove and Marie Hagler and husband Tommy of Concord; son, David McCombs and wife Sandy of China Grove; brother, Earl McCombs of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
