Arlive Jackson Scoggins

Mr. Arlive Jackson "Jack" Scoggins, 70, of 3335 Mt. Hope Church Road, Salisbury, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Taylor and Rev. Charles Carver will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Scoggins. Mr. Scoggins was born October 12, 1933 in Oglethorpe County, GA. He was a son of the late Eugene Lourenza Scoggins and Ellie Lou Collins Scoggins. He was the owner and operator of Jack's Wrecker Service and AJS Trucking Company of Salisbury and formerly operated Klondike Service Station in Kannapolis. Mr. Scoggins is survived by his wife, Collene Shue Scoggins; two sisters, Madeline Scoggins Ellis of Abbeville, SC and Lynda Scoggins Sloop of Rockwell; five brothers, Paul Alexander Scoggins of Monroe, NC, Charlie Fred Scoggins of Kannapolis, Robert Lee Scoggins and Timothy Keith Scoggins, both of Salisbury, and Ronnie Morris Scoggins of Granite Quarry, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be donated to the American Heart Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite 303, Charlotte, NC 28202 in memory of Mr. Scoggins.
