Arnold Eugene Poe, 61, of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the home of his brother and sister in law, Tony and Donna Poe. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2008, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with the Rev. Karen Kaser Odor officiating. Military rites will be rendered by the Rowan Veterans Council. The family will receive from 5 to 7 P M. Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Poe was born in Concord on November 16, 1946, a son of the late Curtis C. Poe, Jr. and Zanie White Poe. Arnold was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U. S. Army as an airframe and power plant mechanic. He was a lifetime member of the DAV Post #27 in Concord. Survivors include three brothers, Tony C. Poe and Carl L. Poe, both of Kannapolis, and Phillip L. Poe of Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 in memory of Mr. Poe.
