Arthur T. Parson

Mr. Arthur Thomas "Tommy" Parson, 73, of 5850 Alexander Road, Concord, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Barnhill and the Rev. Ralph Adams will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home. Born November 16, 1934, in Wilkesboro, he was the son of the late James Grant Parson and Beatrice Barnes Parson. Tommy was a graduate of Landis High School and a veteran of the US Army. He retired as a truck driver with Yellow Freight in Charlotte. He was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Fowler Parson; daughter, Susan Mann and husband, Doug of Kannapolis; son, Everette Parson and wife, Melissa of Charlotte; brother, Wade Parson and wife, Linda of Kannapolis; and a grandson, Greg Eppley of Huntersville.
