Ashon Ray Simmons

Master Drashon Ray Simmons, 5, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Monday, January 8, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will follow at Rutherford Memorial Park in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Drashon was born August 25, 2012 in Rowan County. He was a son of Dashon Simmons and Brandi Farrington.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Angel and Heavenly Simmons; grandparents, Walter and Mary Goodwin of Kannapolis and Rusty and Debbie Farrington of Salisbury; great grandmother, Alma Goodwin; great grandparents, Jessie and Gladys Simmons; uncles, Keltik Simmons, Wahid Simmons, Thomas Simmons, Kenneth Taylor, Chad Wall, Blake Farrington and Nyshiem Hawkins; aunts, Lakesia Simmons, Oquazsha Simmons, Annette Simmons, and Christina, Cassie, Rhonda and Patsy Wall; and also a cousin, Senyie Simmons.

Drashon was loved and supported by many, especially the Kannapolis City Schools and staff and Kids Korner Daycare.
