Mrs. Ava Theresa Shue Stafford, 67, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. A private service will be held at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper will officiate. Mrs. Sta Read Obituary
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Ava in person. Only on Facebook. But she made my day every day with her feisty words! And I truly appreciated her kind nature and desire for a more just world. I know that she was very proud of her kids and grandchildren. I know that she loved her husband. She was a breath of fresh air. And I send my sincerest condolences to her family. ❤️
Dear Ava: My life won't be the same on a daily basis now without you in it. You were an inspiration and a gift to me. We shared our love of our Grands, our families, flowers, birds, politics, the ocean, laughter and an overall joy of life. Thank you for letting me share personal things with you and uplifting ne when I was down. I hope you felt my appreciation and love for you. R.I.P. my Soul Sister. The world lost a true warrior, in the fight for everything good, when my very dear "sister friend" Ava passed away Never in my life, have I experienced a friendship as close, deep or true, as I felt with hers. This is truly amazing considering that I only knew her on Facebook. She could reach through my computer screen and touch my heart, give me a warm hug, dispense advice, and help me maintain my faith and hope in humanity and for the future. There was not a single day, when opening my laptop, that I did not immediately look for her posts and comments. They were often one of the highlights of my day. She had a "huge" personality, quick wit and a wicked sense of humor. She was extremely generous in sharing her life with her friends, in photos and through her stories, as well as some choice and often hilarious words. Anyone could see and feel how much she enjoyed life and there was absolutely no doubt how fiercely she loved her family and her grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers will be with her family, during the difficult days ahead. At this time, her Facebook friends, are coming together to comfort each other and to carry on her legacy in fighting for the things that matter in our country. She will certainly live on in our hearts and minds for the rest of our days.
I just can't believe you're gone and how I didn't realize just how much I looked forward to your words. You're a beautiful soul, a fighter, a friend with the remarkable gift of turning profanity into poetry....a gift to the world. What an honor to have known you.
Our prayers and deepest sympathies to Kyle and family in the passing of Ava. Both have been good neighbors for many years. She always showed compassion for those around her in spite of personal health issues. She will be sorely missed.
