Ava Nell Williams (Adams)

Mrs. Ava Nell Adams Williams, 84, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, February 20, 2015, in Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Pennington will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until noon Friday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams was born on May 12, 1930 in Danielsville, GA. She was a daughter of the late Robert Gibbs Adams and Birdie Woods Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Eugene Williams.

Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons, Frank Williams and wife Caroline of Concord, Barry Williams of the home and Ricky Williams and wife Glenda of Kannapolis; two daughters, Cathy Pennington and husband Steve of Rockwell and Connie Patton and husband Butch of Kannapolis; brother, David Adams and wife Sarah of China Grove; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
