Barbara Bentley

Barbara Beam Bentley, 79, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Bentley will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Darrell Coble will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mrs. Bentley was born September 25th, 1933 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Osborne Frye Beam and Jennie Adcock Beam. She formerly worked in Cannon Mills and later as a teacher assistant at W.R. Odell elementary school. As a member of Parkwood Baptist Church she was very active in many areas of the church work and was also a member of the Carolina Cardinals Camping Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Plummer, and three brothers, Roy, Claude and Brice Beam.

Survivors include her husband, Ted W. Bentley; a son, Barry Bentley and wife Renee of Union Grove, NC; daughter, Debbie B. Williams and husband Jesse of Mooresville, NC; three grandchildren, Chad Bentley, Jeremy Bentley and Anna Sandison and husband Sean and one brother, Ralph Beam of Knoxville, TN.
