Barbara Jean Franklin

Barbara Jean Davis Franklin, 67, of Clark Road, Linwood, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at her home. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at First Freewill Baptist Church in China Grove. The Rev. Ted Davis and the Rev. Pat Eller will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Thursday at the church. Born July 18, 1941 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Clate Arlie Davis and Mabel Irene White Davis. She formerly worked for Cannon Mills. Survivors include her son, Anthony Sutherland and wife, Tammy, of Salisbury; two daughters, Amanda Morton and husband, Tommy, and Alma White, both of Kannapolis; two sisters, Saundra Davis Poplin of China Grove, and Juanita Upchurch of Kannapolis; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a beloved friend, Yvonne Turnmire.
