Barbara Mullis Sechler Rock

Barbara Mullis Sechler Rock, 71, of Turner Drive, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Rock will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 12 noon in Parkwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Bo Sherrill and Rev. Michael Water will officiate. Burial will follow in the Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to noon Tuesday prior to the service at Parkwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Rock was born in Cabarrus County on February 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Charlie Brown Mullis and Vertie Murph Mullis. She retired from the No. 1 Spinning Room of Cannon Mills plant one. Survivors of Mrs. Rock include her son, Timothy Sechler of Kannapolis; two sisters, Norma Jean Pearson and Doris Sims; one brother, Brownie Mullis and two grandchildren, Casey and Spencer Sechler.
