Barbara Ann Wilson

Mrs. Barbara Ann Payne Wilson, 67, of 217 S. Rose Avenue, Kannapolis, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004, at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Dale Tanner, the Rev. Curtis Parker and the Rev. Ralph Robinette will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born September 26, 1936 in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Fred Gilbert Payne and Annie Belle Christy Payne. She retired from the sewing room of Pillowtex Plant One in Kannapolis. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, Earnest Leroy Wilson, preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Williams, Catherine Cline and Janet Absher, all of Kannapolis; two sons, Bobby Wilson of Salisbury and Eddie Wilson of China Grove; one sister, Nancy Payne West of Grafton, WI; one brother, Troy Payne of Huntington Beach, California; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
