Ben Morris Isenhour, 85, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Tucker Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 am Wednesday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Isenhour was born on June 4, 1929 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late Gilbert J. Isenhour and Mary Fisher Isenhour and was married to the late Mary Iris Goodman Isenhour. He retired from the Kannapolis Police Department after thirty-one years of service at the rank of Lieutenant and also served prior to Kannapolis as an officer at the Concord Police Department. He had previously worked for the Concord Fire Department. Mr. Isenhour was a member of the Cabarrus County Law Enforcement Association and the Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

Mr. Isenhour is survived by two sons, Jerry Isenhour, Sr. and wife, Sheryl, of Concord with whom he had lived for a number of years and Van Isenhour of Savannah, GA; brother, Ray Isenhour; a number of loving grandchildren; and great grandchildren. His brother James Isenhour and sister Edith McKay preceded him in death.
