Betty Corn Beck

Mrs. Betty Corn Beck, 76, of 200 Dalewood Avenue, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mrs. Beck. Mrs. Beck was born September 25, 1929 in Spartanburg, SC. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence Corn and Bedelia Lindsey Corn. She retired from the Number 6 Weave Room of Cannon Mills Plant One. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wiley Beck; a daughter, Theresa Ann Beck; two sisters, Sarah E. Beaver and Irma Lee; and a brother, Joseph O. Corn. Mrs Beck is survived by a son, Ralph W. Beck, II and wife, Angela, of Kannapolis; two daughters, Raphaelle B. Plott and husband, Ray, and Linda Burchfield, all of Concord; four grandchildren, Heather Linn of Concord, Michael Burchfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tangelia and Tabittha Beck both of Kannapolis; two great grandchildren, Hunter Linn and Hannah Linn of Concord; and two sisters-in-law, Eunice P. Beck of Kannapolis and Willene Corn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O. Box 1235, Concord, NC 28028-1235.
