Betty Sue Lowery (Tilley)

Mrs. Betty Sue Tilley Lowery, 72, on Friday, February 27, 2015, while surrounded by her family she went home to be with the Lord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Baugess will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lowery was born June 11, 1942 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Grover Dean Tilley and Ollie Mae Overcash Tilley Brown. She retired from the environmental services department of CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Betty was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Leroy Lowery, Sr.; sister, Sadie Mae Tilley Carter; and two brothers, Billy Joe Tilley and Willie Dean Tilley.

Mrs. Lowery is survived by her seven children, William “Bill” Lowery, Jr. of China Grove, Patricia Yates and husband Dennis of Chester, VA, Donna Haynes and husband Robert of China Grove, Marie Cannon of Kannapolis, Dennis Lowery of Salisbury, Kenny Lowery of China Grove and Nancy Lowery of Kannapolis; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and her faithful friend, Reese.
